Prime Minister Modi spoke at the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024, highlighting growing India-Germany cooperation across multiple fronts, including naval exercises in Goa and upcoming intergovernmental talks.

 

The relationship marks its 25th year of strategic partnership in 2024, with Modi emphasizing plans for enhanced cooperation over the next quarter-century. He welcomed Germany's "Focus on India" document, which outlines collaboration between these two major democracies and economies.

 

A significant development includes Germany's decision to increase skilled worker visas for Indians from 20,000 to 90,000 annually. Modi noted this would benefit Germany's economic growth.

 

The Prime Minister also highlighted the robust trade relationship, exceeding 30 billion dollars, with increasing business presence on both sides. He emphasized India's emerging role as a global manufacturing hub and encouraged German businesses to "Make in India, Make for the World."
